& Other Stories Studion Scented Candle

You know your getting older when candles become ornaments. Some things are just too pretty to use and this & Other Stories Studion Scented Candle - £17.00, is no exception. As another year passes by my tastes are changing, I've been swapping the sweet and fruity for something a bit more earthy. And I'm loving it!

I have yet to burn this candle, and probably won't for a while. At first whiff you can definitely pick up the lemon and fig. As well as that slight woody undertone which I love!
"Hints of bergamot and a heart of fig trees are rounded off with soft coconut and familiar wood, inviting you to discover a glimpse of our Stockholm Atelier."

Of course the only store in the UK is on Regent Street, so purchasing could be a bit of a gamble. Worth it, in my opinion. For me, the packaging sells it alone but for £17 I would definitely read through all of the scent breakdowns carefully. Each has a burning time of 45 hours, which compared to a similar sized yankee candle it isn't the greatest. Still not terrible though.

Each candle comes in a ceramic pot with "Bougie Parfumee & Other Stories" engraved on the back. For each scent the label is different, some are plain and others are patterned but each one is in the same style. To top this off they're wrapped with a little piece of string and packaged in a matching box. I've used mine to store bobby pins.

The entire collection was created in collaboration with renowned New York-based perfumer Jérôme Epinette of Robertet.

Studion scent breakdown:

  • Top: Bergamot, Cardamon, Lemon

  • Heart: Fig, Violet Leaves, Mate Leaves

  • Base: Almond, Coconut, Blond Woods

Does packaging persuade you when it comes to candles? What do you think of the & Other Stories candle range?
