The Candle Pick n’ Mix | Flamingo Candle Scent Melts.

I’ve spoken about my love for Flamingo Candles. It all started with Cheesecake Crunch. Each candle is organic, hand-poured and is stamped with a quirky acrylic Flamingo in South Wales. I was so impressed with the first one that I picked up a few scent melts. Place one in an oil/fragrance burner, along with a tea light and watch it melt to release the heightened scent for up to 15 hours.

"Sultry and sophisticated Vanilla & Black Pepper is a smooth vanilla that transports you to a floral valley of Madagascar and captures the extraordinary, fleeting moment when the rare vanilla orchid blossoms at day break and woody Oriental fragrance where refreshing top notes of orange and lemon, combine with green galbanum, black pepper and a hint of rosemary. These rest upon warming clove, a touch of jasmine, sumptuous woods, patchouli, musk and amber."

"Dreamy and creamy, our Vanilla Milk Bottle fragrance is the ultimate temptation. A warming and mellow aroma of sweet sugar and creamy vanilla, this delicious candle evokes strong childhood memories."

"Fresh and invigorating, Cucumber and Melon is a green floral fragrance with cucumber skin and watery notes of refreshing melon on the top. Supported by a rich floral accord of rose, lily and cyclamen enhanced by fruity, peach musk accents."

I love the idea of Scent Melts. It can be a way to try out fragrances before you purchase a larger candle, or you can use them for variety in your home. The lovely people at Flamingo have put together a few more reasons to opt for melts:

  1. They heat up much quicker, giving an almost instant fragrance.  Great when you have unexpected guests and want to show off your amazing Flamingo Candles scent!

  2. There’s no open flame.  The only flame is on the tea light which is secluded at the bottom of the burner.

  3. They’re perfect if you’re unsure whether you’ll like a fragrance enough to buy a Jar Candle.  Experiment with a Scent Melt and invest if it tickles your fancy!

  4. Try a different Scent Melt in each room of your home.  A great way to embrace the mood!

  5. They give off a slightly stronger aroma than Jar Candles.  Ideal for those rooms, such as the kitchen, which are susceptible to odour.

What do you think about Scent Melts? How quickly do you normally go through candles?
