HJ Manicure A/W Launch Event

I was lucky enough to attend the HJ Manicure A/W Launch Event! Four gorgeous new colours, all 5-free and with a great formula. The afternoon was pack with healthy treats, manicures, lovely people and some tasty chocolates. I had seen the HJ logo floating around the internet but was finally able to test them out first hand, and I'm impressed!

"HJ Manicure is a fresh & non‐toxic nail care brand bringing intense colours and nail goodness to your hands and feet. Each polish is free of Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Di-butyl phthalate (DBP) and Camphor (all preservatives that can be linked to cancer and skin irritations), as well as Animal Derivatives."

THE COLLECTIONS

HOLIDAY
A collection of vivid, fresh and vibrant shades which encapsulate that ‘Summer Feeling’ perfectly, these bright polishes look amazing with a holiday tan, whilst also being ideal for wear throughout the year and to brighten up Autumn/Winter days.

CLASSIC
A collection of must have nail shades that should be in every nail kit. From bright red, deep red and burgundy to coral, baby pink and hot pink. Essential polish colours for women that always come back to the classic manicure.

HJ SIGNATURE
A unique on-trend collection consisting of Helen’s favourite Autumn/Winter shades and our best selling polishes. Including ‘Subzero’ grey crème polish, gorgeous navy blue ‘Midnight Sky’, glamourous deep red ‘Vamp’ and dark ‘Alpine Green’. This staple collection is here to stay.

NUDE
A natural, delicate and feminine collection. Perfect pale shades for wearing in the office, at a wedding, day-to-day or for a pretty girly look. Includes our palest polish ‘Lace’ and popular nude shades ‘Thunder Storm’ a soft lilac/grey and ‘Caramel Latte’ a beautiful polish suitable for every occasion.

Helen had some lovely nail technicians to show us the A/W collection, and of course I had to try out Midnight Sky a rich electric blue with metallic running throughout. I fell in love after the first coat, and by the second I was fixated on it! I have since ordered a bottle for myself. Honestly seeing this in the flesh is incredible but here is a great quality swatch for now.

So what did I think? Application is easy, the brush is quite thin but works great with the polish itself. It has a subtle shine even without a top coat and lasted for about three to four days chip free. With such a fantastic colour range available and it's 5-free formula you really can't go wrong! They're £9.50 each which is a good price considering the formula, if you are conscious about what you put in/on your body or just like the idea then these are definitely for you. The colours alone drew me in!

What do you think about HJ Manicure? Have you ever thought about the nasty chemicals in nail polish?
