Currently Loving | Five Things

It's been a while since my last round up of favourites but recently I've had some really unexpected winners that I just had to talk about. I've been cleaning out my stash, stocking up with beauty boxes and being reminded of old favourites by friends.

Soap & Glory Hocus Focus Instant Visual Flaw Softening Illuminator. I picked this up on a whim and fell in love. There are two ways that you can use this. 1. You can you mix this into your foundation for an added glow. 2. You can use this as a highlighter along the tops of cheekbones for a seamless glow.

Magnifibres Brush-on False Lashes. This was included in the Glamour Edit Beauty Box from Latest in Beauty. Now I have quite long lashes but this takes them to the next level. This claims to instantly lengthen lashes by up to 5mm, I wouldn't be too sure about that but this does make my lashes look on the verge of being fake. It's amazingly good.

Boots Time Delay BB Cream.* I pushed this to the back of my draws because of the colour. It was incredibly dark for my natural skin but with a tan it fits perfectly! This is a 'time delay' product but I use it for the silky finish left on my skin. This claims to be a bb cream but has a higher coverage than my NARS Sheer Glow foundation. The added SPF 15 against UVA/B makes it a complete winner this month!

Lush Recycle Scheme. Of course most people know of the Lush recycle programme, I however completely forgot. For anyone that may need a memory reboot Lush is currently working towards a closed loop and a self sustainable plastic supply. Which means that by returning your black pots to lush they can reground and remodel the plastic to create new black pots. The incentive is that by bringing back 6 pots you can take away a free face mask of your choice. It's reducing their carbon footprint and treating us! Watch the short video here.

Toni & Guy Volume Plumping Whip. This is another product from the latest Glamour Edit Beauty Box. At first I wasn't sure about this, but without using it my hair doesn't feel the same! The texture is whipped with a silky feel, I take a 10p size amount and work it into my roots. I then flip my head over and dry the roots upside down for some added volume. As someone with really fine hair most products start to flatten within a couple of hours but this lasted the better part of a day which is incredible! In some cases I fix it with hair spray and I still have bouncy hair the next morning.

What have you been loving recently? Do you recycle your black pots to lush?
