Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana

Where do I start with this perfume. I was sitting on a coach with the latest issue of allure and caught a whiff of something fresh. I had opened the fold of a scented page and at that point I had fallen in love. I couldn't stop thinking about it. Soft, floral, delicate. I don't think I have become so entranced by a scent before.

I had spent the night with my mother and a few glasses of wine, the topic of discussion turned to fragrance. And of course like mother like daughter, I was in no way surprised that she pulled out a tester of the very scent I have been lusting over. Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana. Of course with an upcoming birthday, I went straight to Debenhams and purchased the last last two 50ml bottles. One for her and one for myself.

As part of a introductory offer, each bottle comes with a beautiful compact mirror. The round mirrors are housed in a gold casing with a matching flower. Complete with matching chic packaging, this is the perfect gift for any woman.

Let me tell you about the scent itself. Top notes include Neroli leaves and Papaya flowers. The heart is composed of White Water Lily and White daffodil. Whilst the base remains of Musk and Cashmeran. As much as I enjoy the written formula of perfumes, there is nothing quite like the experience. I encourage each and every one of you to try this for yourself if you get the chance.

The packaging is dressing table worthy, with clear glass to show off the pale green formula. According to Dolce & Gabbana the flower stopper is a representation of the marzipan sculptures of Sicilian confectioners. As well as the black bow conjuring images of white shirts and bow ties, a signature of early Dolce & Gabbana catwalks. And of course the most significant signature of all, Dolce signed across the front in black script. A replica of Domenico Dolce's father's own signature.

The price tag is rather large at £62 for 50ml, but perfectly reasonable for a designer perfume. Especially one that I adore!

Have you been blown away be a scent recently? What fragrance are you currently wearing?
