My Anniversary Makeup Bag.

If you haven't seen my latest updates on twitter, today is a rather special day. They boy and I are celebrating our anniversary, a little shopping trip, some dinner in Covent Gardens followed by a few drinks. My perfect day. Instead of piling my face with layers of simmer and metallic I opted for a rather different approach. A subtle makeup look with a healthy glow, something that I thought I'd share.

For the base I used Bourjois Health Mix Serum, a light coverage with an overall dewy glow. Complimented with Bobbi Brown's Corrector under the eyes and Creamy Concealer to cover any imperfections. On the cheeks I used a light dusting of MAC's powder formula in Well Dressed, a subtle doll pink. Alongside that I used MAC's Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle to highlight the tops of my cheek bones and lightly on the brow bone. Keeping the eyes simple I used a light dusting of MAC's Nylon, a pale gold with an icy shimmer and Idol Eyes, a silvered violet with golden undertones, through the crease. Giving my lashes a quick coat with the Clinique's High Impact Mascara, and using it's partner of the duo, the Long Last Gloss Wear in Guavagold, giving my lips a subtle shimmer.

It's times like these where compliments are appreciated more. And on this rather special day I do feel like royalty. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Saturday!

What makeup makes you feel special? What look do you opt for on a special occasion?
