A Casual Summer.

Finally i feel like summer is here! The sunglasses are out, you start debating shorts and ice cream is always an option! Unless I'm making a special effort, i like to keep it simple and as fresh looking as i can. Attempting the 'no makeup' makeup can sometimes be a challenge, but i have found a few bits and bobs that i can rely on throughout the week.

First up as a base i use my favourite lightweight foundation, the CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua. Using my hands this blends into the skin with ease to create the perfect natural base. Packed with an SPF of 15 this is perfect for casual daytime outings. My skin looks even, hydrated and gives off a healthy glow. My cheeks are naturally quite rosy which is perfect when using a lightweight foundation as i can skip this step completely and add a touch of something more. At the moment I've been bringing the sun kissed look my skin by using Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder using an angled brush i lightly sweep this just under my cheekbones, though the temple and hairline and then just a touch along the edge of my jaw to give my face some shape. Containing flecks of gold my skin is given a healthy glow, and the slight chocolate scent is incredible.

For the eyes i keep it simple and just use a touch of mascara. I've been leaning towards a sample of YSL that i received with the Harvey Nicol's Fifi Lapin gift with purchase. I haven't been able to work out which one it is as it's not labelled to a specific product. However i will be purchasing either the YSL Volume Effect Faux Babydoll or the Benefit Their Real Mascara to fill it's place. To continue with the rather minimal look i coat my lip's in the Balmi Strawberry Lip Balm  and then layer my current lipstick of choice if i feel the need to spruce myself up a bit.

Finally I've been carrying around The Body Shop's Vitamin C Energizing Face Spritz to keep my skin hydrated. It instantly refreshes the surface and gives off a radiant healthy glow. This has been my handbag essential, especially during work, i feel like this gives me a pick me up when i need it most. (especially in this heat)

What products do you favour during the summer? And have you tried a refreshing facial spray?
